Rajana Craft – Cambodia
Description
Rajana Craft - Cambodia
2011-2012
Rajana Crafts Association is a NGO, a fair trade crafts producer, distributor, and retailer based in Phnom Pehn, Cambodia.
Rajana aims to give young, underprivileged Cambodian people the opportunity to be trained in the production and marketing of contemporary craft. Rajana is committed to the personal development of our workers as individuals in an economic, social, and spiritual sense. Rajana provides employment with fair wages and a safe work environment where people have opportunities for professional development.
During my one-year assignment (2011-2012) with MCC (Mennonite Central Committee) as a YAMENer (Young Anabaptist Mennonite Exchange Network) I worked as their Design Advisor, helped them to understand better the current trend, elaborating with Khmer culture and style, also equipped them with the marketing strategy including social media and product photography training, so they can have better skill sets to be more independent.
